Orthokeratology as a method of myopia control
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I noticed my son squinting while watching TV and moving closer to the screen. I realized his eyesight was deteriorating. We tried using glasses and atropine eye drops to prevent further myopia progression, but his myopia continued to worsen. Then, we started orthokeratology treatment at a clinic, and I could feel the myopia progression being suppressed. At that time, orthokeratology was still a relatively new treatment method in Vietnam, so I was a little anxious, but now, after one year of treatment, his eye health is very good, and as a mother, I am very happy. Orthokeratology to improve quality of life
I started wearing glasses because I could not see the blackboard clearly at school, but when I played sports, I would often lose or break them. So, I decided to try orthokeratology at a clinic. The morning after wearing the lenses for the first time, I was amazed at how clearly, I could see. Now, I am free from the hassle of wearing glasses and can go about my day without them. I was even able to enjoy swimming during the summer vacation. I can take care of the lenses on my own without any problems, and my vision is stable throughout the day. I would recommend this treatment to my friends.

My daughter’s myopia was progressing, so we got her glasses and also tried atropine eye drops to slow it down, but we did not see much effect. Following the advice of an optometrist, we chose orthokeratology treatment. My daughter’s vision was clear the morning after starting treatment, and she was able to enjoy sports without glasses. I also decided to undergo the same treatment for myopia correction, and my vision has become stable as well, so I will continue the treatment along with my daughter. The Japanese-made lenses we currently use are easy to remove, and I recommend this treatment to my family and friends.
